For 20 years I've been doing this, and I will be doing this for the next 20. I believe in designing and testing concepts that are ahead of their time. It takes aligning, planning, and prototyping. Listen to stakeholders and design for stewards. Embrace systems complexity in your goal-setting, and get something out there for testing. Make do with the resources you have, and be scrappy in procuring more.
